Anyone?

Well, I know, it's been a really long time!
Let's just not talk about that.

Since the last time I wrote here many things have changed in my life. Some pretty big changes that made me think, made me think about the last five years and the fact that I've been absorbed in many many things that kept me away from all those other things I should have been doing! There are some that I regret doing and some others that I regret not doing. I regret not giving enough to someone that should have gotten more from me. I regret not expressing my feelings and hiding the real me behind that unexpressed face. I was struggling to have my real feelings exposed to someone who needed it and I was asking myself "Why are you doing this?"at the same time. My reaction to this was idle, an empty face with two empty eyes, those eyes had some kind of filter that did it's job amazingly good! This job was to clean out and kill every little feeling, that would make me seem alive, before being visible by anyone else. The only thing that's for sure is that I am not the same person I used to be 5 years ago.because you see, 5 years ago I used to be somebody that I loved and that I would spend time with, and now? Well, I'm not sure if I can stand myself anymore. There are many things out there that can destroy every inch of humanity you might have left inside of you and you shouldn't let anything take that away from you. Because at the end of the day and late at night we are all by ourselves and we are still that little human being that BELIEVE IT OR NOT!!! has fears! passions, needs! Yep we are not perfect!

During the last few weeks I made the decision to be a better person, especially for the ones I love and the ones that might love me. If only I could turn back time, I would change many things, but since I can't do this, I am willing to change the would be future of mine. I promise that and that's a promise to myself and to a little stranger that wanders around town looking for herself. I know this town is cruel I've been walking on those same dirty streets and I know it. Don't let them get you down girl, you've got so many things to give because you have a beautiful soul and I know that cause I've met the real you.

So let's just rewind, reload and live, but this time for real.

Quick post!

Hello everyone!
Hope you're all having a really good time this summer!

I just wanted to post two trailers for two great movies I watched recently!

The first one is called "Bringing Up Baby" and its from 1938. It's a nice romantic movie that makes you laugh even after 73 years!

and the second one is "To catch a Thief" and it was released in 1955. This one is a romantic Thriller directed by Alfred Hitchcock!

Cary Grant stars in both movies alongside of Grace Kelly and Katharine Hepburn. These old actors have some kind of quality that it's hard to find in actors these days.

I'll be doing some more research about these movies soon!

Two things that I miss

I guess that saying at the end of the post that I will try to write more often here will sound stupid! But I promise I will! :)

anyway, I guess that I am forgiven cause I am the Lazy House Cat....

Truth is that I missed writing something here. So I decided to write about two things that I miss... Here it comes:

CD SINGLES:

I totally loved buying CD singles! They have so many things that you can love. First of all you didn't have to buy the whole record of that band that has only one good song! You would buy the CD single and would be happy! Another thing I loved about them was the live versions that were included. I am a fan of live recordings so I really liked it when I cold find some. The other cool thing about them were the B-sides that were not included in the album, that would be really cool too. The only thing I hated about the CD Singles were the remixes. Usually they were really bad. I really hated these singles that had the original song and after that 5 different bad remixes of it.

Extra love: I would give the CD singles some extra love for the acoustic versions that you could find in many of them. 99% of them were really good!

I don't think it would be a bad idea for the record labels to start producing them again since more and more people don't buy albums anymore.

Some bands you might remember by their singles(mostly from the 90's-early 00's):

Nine days: This band had that one big hit but they have realesed many albums and have been active for almost  16 years. They have many nice songs.

Lifehouse: We are a rock band but we got feelings...

Toploader: Their biggest hit is a cover from a 70's song. But it's really good and relaxing. Nice work they recently got back together.

Spin Doctors: Amazing band too bad they are mostly known for having this song... The singer used to perform with the Moldy Peaches! How cool is that?

FRIENDS:

The TV show of course... It would be really lame to write about how I will miss my friends while I am crying. "FRIENDS" was one of the few sitcoms that didn't have one bad episode. They were all amazing. I know that  saying that I will miss "FRIENDS" isn't that original cause everyone's missing this show but... come on! I think that the show was a success because it makes you feel like you are part of the gang! It made you feel like you know these guys. One time when I was still in school I watched "FRIENDS" DVD's for 5-6 hours non stop. After that I thought that Ross would come visit me and tell me all his Dinosaur stories while playing the keyboards with his wacky sounds. Intergalactic high fives for the titles of each episode, they actually helped you to track down the episode that you want to watch!

Extra love: Everyone would give the "FRIENDS" some extra love for their cool guests. We had the opportunity to watch Bruce Willis cry, Ben Stiller being all loud and rude and Danny De Vito as a stripper! (the last one isn't one of my stupid jokes...)

I guess it's great when a show stops at the peak of it's success and I think that's why we all miss "FRIENDS" but I think that they could easily make at least two more interesting seasons instead of making that "FRIENDS" spin off "JOEY" that wasn't that good. Let's get our fingers crossed for a "FRIENDS" movie!

Back for good

Hello everyone! or should I say " Anyone?"... Ok first post for 2011 and it's March! WoW!  I had the intention to update my blog and I did sit and write some things that I wanted to post but I simply didn't. Nothing seemed really worth to be published. But maybe it was just me being in my weird melagcholic mood as always. Anyway these days are now gone and I decided to take a huge walk around my neighbourhood and take some pictures...
Hope you like them:

It all started good with a nice bush/sign but then....
...What were you thinking?
Daddy daddy I want a house that looks as if barbie had a failed marriage with Bob the builder!
This is me and my king of shalalala a country far far away...
and we all know whta would their their doorbell sound like right?

Then I had the chance to capture a plane here... I am really afraid of airplanes but I use them anyway.

I got over excited with capturing the plane between any kind of cables...

So this is my Neighbourhood...I think I will do that often even though I am almost the worst photographer in the world.

So this is it for now!

Yours trully,

The Lazy House Cat!

Some things I liked in 2011 (my lame list)

Yes, this is a very special day for my blog because I am going to make these lists that I was telling you about last time! I’ll try to keep them small!

SO! This year I really liked these...

Albums:

1. Adam Green: Minor Love: His best album so far, the songs here are all great!

2. Belle and Sebastian: Write about love: What a great comeback! “I want the world to stop” is already a hit!

3. Allo Darlin’: Allo Darlin’: They are the new indie/pop-twee stars! Saw them at the Indietracks festival this year and they were amazing

Live shows/Festivals:

1. Jens Lekman in Paris: He was amazing, the best show I’ve ever been. It was a magical night, what else could it be. A night in Paris with Jens Lekman!

2. Indietracks Festival: Apart from having the chance to watch an acoustic set in an old moving train, this festival has it all. Cool new pop bands from all over the world, living Legends and nice stages! (train, church, open air stage, indoors stage) Love it, will be there next year again.

Song:

Owen: Abandoned Bridges: I really like almost everything Mike Kinsella does.

Sitcom:

Raising Hope: Hilarious and sweet. If you liked the movie “Juno”, you will love this one! Kind of stupid guy sleeps with a girl who is a serial killer. She ends up in jail. He ends up raising their child with his kind of dump family!

Movie:

Nord (“North” in English): A nice Norwegian movie about a lonely guy who travels to meet his 4(I think) year old son for the first time.

Well these are some things that I enjoyed this year! Hopefully I’ll be here next year writing about 2011! Happy Holidays everybody! I’ll try and make another post before its 2011 hehe!

Good friends with bad habbits

I have a couple of friends who have a reaallyyyyyyyy bad habit! Their thing is that they always remember  to tell something while someone else is talking. It doesn’t have to be something connected to the conversation, NO! Aaaaanything works for them!

I was trying to imagine a skype/ msn Chat conversation with one of them.  It would be something like that:

Lon3ly @p@rtm3nt cut: hey hello :)
High pitched voice girl: HELLOOOOOO
Lon3ly @p@rtm3nt cut: I was thin…
High pitched voice girl: YESTERDAY I THOUGHT ABOUT SCUBA DIVING
Lon3ly @p@rtm3nt cut: Oh nice!
High pitched voice girl: YES, MY FRIEND TOBY HAS A NEW JOB!
Lon3ly @p@rtm3nt cut: Wh…
High pitched voice girl: I LIKE CHOCOLATE
Lon3ly @p@rtm3nt cut: Reall….
High pitched voice girl: 1,2,3,4,5,6,7 I HAVE NOTHING GOOD TO SAY I JUST LOOOVE INTERUPTING PEOPLE!!!
Lon3ly @p@rtm3nt cut: Lon3ly @p@rtm3nt cut: I am eating I’ll be back in 5 minutes

They have two super powers:
First of all a high pitched and really loud voice, this weapon allows them to sound louder  than a Bon Jovi stadium tour concert. (It’s true it happened once!)
Their second super power is the inability to follow a conversation. This Is a tricky one cause sometimes it makes them look dump and innocent but it can kill you. Really. It doesn’t matter if you are talking about your break up after a 4 year relationship while crying and puking , they will still interrupt you to talk about their thing.
The worst case is when she (or he) has a problem with something. If you make the mistake to go out with him/her forget any other kind of talk. It will be all about why did Mike tell her/him to stop laughing at him e.t.c.  In that case, stay out of their way. Stay home and talk to your teddy bear.

Anyway, I still love them even though sometimes I want to put a stuffed animal in their mouth. Especially a bunny rabbit because with its ears it will tinkle their lungs.

P.S. I know it’s been a long since the last time I updated this blog but I was really busy! I will come back soon with guess what!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A LIST!

YEAH A LIST!

I will do a countdown with the best/worst albums of 2010! I know it’s not original and I promise to keep it small.

O.K. Maybe medium sized

O.K. IT MIGHT BE BIG!

One hit wonders (Part 2)

A couple of weeks ago I did a post about one hit wonders n music. I got some possitive feedback about that post so here are some more one hit wonders that I remembered.

Kazzer-Pedal to the metal

Are there any people that remember this one? A super energetic Owen Wilson lookalike that raps over rock music about cars and speed. In this video he runs like the wind, kicks some bad guy's ass, plays the guitar, rocks our socks and finally defeats some really fast cars in a speed contest(by feet). In the end of the video he leaves in his car like it was just another ordinary day. This kind of music is not my cup of tea but for some reason I like this song.

Baha men - Who let the dogs out?

I used to hate this song. Now I like it (kind of)... I never understood what was wrong with these dogs? Dogs need to go out pee, poop, run and meet other dogs.
Baha-men is a band with a long history. They formed in the 70's with another name but they changed their name in 1991. This is their biggest hit (2000). They still make records and perform.

Sisqó - Thong song

OK. He had some more (minor) hits but we all remember him by this epic song and his silver hair. Eventually he got hit by a lightning because of his metal hair.(no) he entered the english big brother in 2010.

Emilia- Big big world

1999, ballads were the big thing. This girl really likes to sing about the world. Her biggest hit was called "Big Big World", in 2009 she tried to participate in the Eurovision contest (with Sweden) with the song "You're my world" and What a surprise! Her last album was called "My world". I love Sweden and Swedish artists, so I like her too.

I will come back with part 3 at some point.
P.S.
White Town is a one hit wonder artist (his biggest hit was "Your woman"). He was asked at some point how did he feel that he was a One hit wonder. His answer was one of the coolest answers I've read by an artist:
Better Than being a NO hit wonder.
